전주x제주 교류전 <커넥트; 생성과 전개>
<p> <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">본 기획전은 전주와 제주의 세번째 교류전이다. 지역 예술계의 중심축인 중견작가들을 집중·재조명하고자 한다. 전주에 터를 잡고 활동하는 8명의 예술가는 긴 호흡으로 축적한 시간만큼 저마다 작품세계가 명료하다. 커넥트; 생성과 전개 전시는 전주와 제주를 연결할 뿐만 아니라 서로 다른 작가와 작가, 작품과 작품, 작품과 관객 등을 이어주는 의미이다. </span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">이에 더해 이음과 연대로 새로운 예술적 발견과 담론을 생성하려는 의도이다. 자기 철학을 바탕으로 묵묵히 작업에 매진하고 중견작가들의 작업을 통해 그들의 작가 정신과 창작 열정을 공유하며, 창조적 결과물들을 만끽하길 바란다. </span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">본 전시와 이어지는 제주 작가들의 전주 전시에서도 생생한 예술적 파동이 교차하고 전이되면서 두 도시를 더 견고하게 연결할 것이다. 앞으로도 기관과 작가들 사이의 지속적인 교류와 협력으로 묵직하고 찬란한 울림이 계속되길 기대한다.</span></p>

최옥영의 오픈 스튜디오
<p style="line-height: 160%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">'최옥영의 오픈 스튜디오'는 복합문화예술공간인 하슬라아트월드, 젊은달와이파크, 그리고 오픈 예정에 있는 삼척하슬라의 공간을 기획한 최옥영 작가의 미발표된 작품을 관람할 수 있는 특별 프로그램입니다.</span></p>

열린수장고 기획전 《딕테×러브포엠》
<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">대전시립미술관 열린수장고에서는 소장품 상설전시와 함께 대전시립미술관의 소장품을 심도 있게 볼 수 있는 전시를 기획하고 있다. 열린수장고 1실에서 소장품 중 주로 입체(조각, 공예)를 중심으로 일부 평면(회화, 사진 등) 작품을 전시하고 있으며, 평소 상설관을 통해 보여주기 힘든 뉴미디어, 설치, 드로잉 및 연작 회화 등을 선정하여 소개하는 기획전을 열린수장고 기획전시실에서 개최하고 있다.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">2023년 상반기에는 미술관 소장품 중 초기 한국의 뉴미디어 아트 장르를 확고히 한 세 작가인 박현기, 육태진, 김해민의 대표작을 소개하는 《개척자들》을 열었다. 《개척자들》은 한국 미디어아트의 독자성을 살펴봄과 동시에 과학예술의 중심지로서의 대전을 위상을 점검하고자 하였다. 이어 하반기에는 2022년 수집된 안옥현 작가의 작품 <러브포엠>을 조명하는 전시인 《딕테×러브포엠》을 개최한다.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><러브포엠>은 차학경 작가의 유작 『딕테(DICTEE)』 중 ‘에라토–연애시’ 챕터를 읽고 영상으로 연출한 작품이다. 이 작품은 2021년 겨울 아마도 예술공간과 온라인을 통해 열렸던 전시 《합창 Dictee : Chorus》를 통해 처음 소개되었다. 작품은 작가의 연출에 따라 ‘에라토 – 연애시’의 화자 ‘그녀’를 복수의 인물로 설정하고, 여러 명으로 분절된 ‘그녀’가 등장하여 텍스트를 낭독하는 신이 교차된다. 영상 속에는 세 여자와 한 남자가 등장하는데 그들은 동시에 한 장소에 등장하지만 교감하지 않으며 각자의 지시된 역할에 충실할 뿐이다. 마치 다른 시간 속 같은 장소에 머무르는 듯한 감각을 주는 인물들은 차학경이 전하고자 한 여성의 정서, 가부장제 속의 여성, 소외된 여성에 대한 정서를 관객들에게 전달한다.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">사진과 영상 매체를 통해 인간의 감정을 다루는 작업을 지속하고 있는 안옥현 작가의 작품은 동시대의 사람들의 관심사가 어디로 향해있는지를 보여줌과 동시에 차학경 작가의 유작인 『딕테 Dictee』를 다시 주목하게 한다. 관람객들은 작품 속 여성들과 함께 ‘에라토–연애시’ 챕터의 서사를 함께 읽어나가며, 안옥현과 차학경 두 작가가 말하고자 한 '시대정신'에 대한 실마리를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.</span></p>
