Based in France, HUR Kyung-Ae creates layered acrylic paintings by repeatedly applying and scraping away paint. Through this unique process, she reveals traces of time in each work. For HUR, scraping is not an act of erasing or destroying, but of creating. Hidden colors, textures, and memories gradually emerge, giving each painting a new life. 《Layers of Time》 explores the hidden layers of time, memory, and human experience. As viewers follow the marks within each painting, they are invited to reflect on their own memories and the passage of time. We hope this exhibition offers a quiet moment to reflect on the layers of time found in both the artworks and our own lives.
